The Logo of the Order of Saint Luke Explained
The emblem of the Order is a cross within a circle, drawn in blue - a colour symbolic of healing.
The Latin words - also written in blue - are from a prayer found in the early Christian catacombs in Rome: JESU - ESTO MIHI - JESUS LUX - REX - DUX - LEX The translation of this prayer is: O JESUS - BE TO ME -JESUS LIGHT - KING - LEADER - LAW |
